'Number one, when you're feeling shy and awkward because maybe you're meeting someone new or you're in a new environment, trick your brain to think that you already know the person that you're talking to, assume comfort. 'This not only makes you feel more relaxed, but it also makes people feel more comfortable around you and makes them like you more,' she said.
